Sparc Energy is an independent India-focused energy intelligence site. It brings live indicators, regulatory tracking and free calculators into one place, aimed at households, traders, corporate ESG teams and students who need Indian context rather than global generalities.
Every number carries a time
A figure without an observation time is not data, it is a rumour. Each indicator on this site displays when it was recorded and which source it came from. If the source has gone quiet, the value is marked as last known instead of being silently reused as current.
Impact before information
Wire copy is abundant and free. What is scarce is a plain statement of what a development changes for an Indian household, generator or industrial consumer. Every news and policy item on this site ends with that statement.
Assumptions are published
Every calculator lists the assumptions behind its maths — sun hours, degradation rates, grid emission factors, tariff escalation. You can disagree with them, and you should be able to see them before you trust an output.
Nothing you type is stored
The calculators run entirely in your browser. There is no account, no tracking of your inputs and no export of your bill data to a server.
Sources we track
CERC, MNRE, the Ministry of Power, CEA, POSOCO/Grid-India, CPCB for air quality, and oil marketing company retail price disclosures. Official notifications are always linked from the item that summarises them.
